Anna Zgaljic

Anna Zgaljic(Tkalec) passed away peacefully on January 25, 2019 at the age of 85. Beloved wife of Dinko. Loving mother of Maryann (Michael) and Helen (Milan). Cherished Baba of Stephanie, Robert, and Anna. She was born in Gornja Bistricia, Slovenia on April 28, 1933. Anna grew up as a farmer. In looking for a better life, she escaped on foot to Austria and eventually came to Canada where she met her future husband of 62 years at a Croatian dance. Anna had a passion for cooking, baking, and gardening. She always had her door open and loved entertaining family and friends. She loved their home on Marco Island where she found a love for fishing. She adored and spoiled her grandchildren with Hershey's chocolate bars, strudel, and homemade pasta.
