Dorothy F. Nelson

Dorothy Florence Nelson, 84, of Glen Head, NY passed away peacefully on December 8th, 2023.

Dorothy was born on April 24th, 1939, to Chester and Florence (née Hoffman) Kremens in Greenpoint, Brooklyn. Dorothy had a decades-long career in bookkeeping until retiring in the early aughts.

Dorothy married her husband, Thomas Nelson, a Korean War vet, in 1958. They were married for 60 years until his passing. He started his own business, Flash Exterminating Co, and the two ran it together successfully for many years.

Dorothy is survived by her beloved brother Chester S. Kremens II, nephews Chester III, Russell and James, many grand nieces, and nephews as well as an extended family of wonderful neighbors.

Services will be held at St. Hyacinth in Glen Head on July 18th at noon.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to German Shepherd Rescue of NY, INC. in Glenmont NY.
