Ernest Anthony Longobucco

Ernest Anthony Longobucco, 91, passed away peacefully in his sleep on April 22 in Sea Cliff, NY. Born on October 2, 1928 in Sea Cliff to Gaetano and Christina Longobucco. Resident of Sea Cliff for his entire life. Siblings to Ralph (brother), Dominic (step brother) and Mary (step sister). Married to Irene Golden (predeceased). Graduate of Sea Cliff High School. Served in the Army during the Korean Conflict. Owner of The Pine Tree Bar + Grill (lovingly known as Mom's) that he and brother Ralphie took over when their mom passed away. Later employed at LILCO power plant. Affectionately known as "The Gate" for his prowess at third base. 75 year member of the Sea Cliff Fire Department. Loving father to Ernest Arthur Sr. (Sue), Guy (Colleen), Allan (Rebecca) and Gail (Joseph). Grandfather to Ernest Arthur Jr. (Tiffany), Christina (Alex), Amanda, Sara (Mark), Travis and Gavin. Great-grandfather to Emma, Mason, Kennedy and Carter. Fond uncle of Fr. Bob and John (Jen and Sophia). Predeceased by his son Guy, wife Irene, brother Ralph (Lorrie). Funeral for immediate family. Internment at Locust Valley Cemetery. A celebration of Ernie's life will take place for all his friends and family at a later time.
