Ethel Theresa Langan

Langan, Ethel T. (Nee King), originally from Waterville, ME.  Graduated nursing school in 1947, worked as an RN in military hospitals until meeting and marrying Robert Langan in 1950.  Settled on Long Island, raising her family of seven children in East Meadow.  Moved back to central Maine when Robert retired in 1984, returning to Long Island to be with family and friends upon Robert's passing in 2004.  Survived by her children; Patrick (Lorelei), Corinne Hillert (Ed), Robert, III, Timothy (Colleen), Stephen (Rosa), Mary Gagne (Marc) and Helen Sandstrom (the late Arthur); 12 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; a nephew and 11 nieces.  She is predeceased by her husband; sisters Albertine Sullivan, Mary Ticehurst, Charlotte Rothrock and brother Augustus King.  Ethel will always be remembered for her extreme dedication to her family as well as her contagious sense of humor.  Visiting Thurs.  2-4 & 7-9 pm at Whitting Funeral Home 300 Glen Cove Ave., Glen Head, NY  11545 www.whitting.com Funeral Mass Fri. 10  am at St. Patrick's R.
