George Doran

Doran, George T. of Glen Cove, NY on July 2, 2013. Mr. Doran was the long time owner of Buchtenkirch's Florist and Greenhouse. He started working at the business as a 12 year old (1940) finally buying it in 1960 and operating it alone or with his nephew to this day. He is off to see his parents James and Georgina, late brother Joseph and sister Margaret (Sissy) along with countless friends. Mr. Doran is survived by his brother James (Barbara), sisters Barbara and Rosemary. He also leaves behind his nieces and nephews, James, Joseph, Adele (Steven), John (Andrea), David (Patricia & Kelley) and his great-nieces & nephews, Olivia, Gregory, Sean, Brendan, Ryan and his close friend and chauffeur Kenny. A Memorial Mass will be held on Tuesday at 9:30 am, St. Hyacinth R. C. Church, Glen Head, NY. Interment private.
