Senesky, Helen Mary, a lifelong resident of Sea Cliff, died quietly at her home on March 1, 2013. A graduate of Sea Cliff High School, the State University of New York at New Paltz, and C. W. Post College, Helen taught first grade at George Washington School and was Principal of the Marion Delaney Elementary School, in West Hempstead, NY for forty-four years. At her retirement she received commendations from both President Bush and then County Executive Thomas Gulotta. She continued to receive Christmas cards from former students as recently as last year. Following her retirement in 1989, Helen volunteered her time at the Sea Cliff Village Library and was active for many years at Saint Boniface Martyr church, also in Sea Cliff. She is survived by her sister-in-law, Phyllis Sczesnak, her devoted cousin, Janice Marcin; and her nephews Jack (Linda) and Kurt (Marilyn) Senesky, Edward and Marc (Thomasine) Sczesnak. Her grandnieces and nephews include Sarah Dolfin; Matthew Senesky; and Alexander, Andrew, David, Elizabeth, Jillian, and Amelia Sczesnak.
