Helga L. Walter

Helga L. Walter, age 82, of Carle Place, New York passed away February 26, 2023. Helga was born in New York City to Theo H. and Maria M. Lorenzen on December 28, 1940. She graduated from Flushing High School and subsequently worked in the financial industry for many years. Helga enjoyed reading and was a cat lover. She will always be remembered for never forgetting a special occasion or her infamous email jokes. Helga was involved for many years in the Multiple Sclerosis Society. Helga is survived by her husband, Helmut Walter of 47 years. She also leaves behind her brother, Theo M. Lorenzen (Maureen), numerous nieces and nephews, and longtime friend, Anita. She is preceded in death by her parents, Theo H. and Maria M. Lorenzen, Helmut and Margaret Walter, sister Fran O’Connor (John), and niece Cathy Trotta.

Funeral service will be held on Thursday, March 2, at 8:00 PM at Whitting Funeral Home, Glen Head, NY.

Interment will be private.
