Jane M. Walter

Jane Marsala Walter, 88, of Glen Head, NY, passed away on June 3, 2023, in Mineola, NY.

The funeral service will be held at The United Methodist Church of Sea Cliff at 10:00 am on June 6 with Pastor Miyeong Kang. Burial will follow at East Hillside Cemetery in Glen Cove. Visitation will be held at Whiting Funeral Home in Glen Head on June 5th from 4:00 pm – 6:00 pm. Whiting Funeral home will be handling the funeral arrangements.

Jane was born in Glen Cove to Raymond Hedger and Ena Langley. She graduated from Glen Cove High School in 1952. Jane was an accomplished and prolific artist. Her paintings still hang in the homes of many friends and relatives. Jane also enjoyed playing golf, tennis, skiing and bridge with her friends and family. She was an active member of the United Methodist Church and Nassau Country Club.

Jane Walter is survived by her three daughters, Lynn Walter and her husband Mark Snyderman; Susan Fund and her husband Steven Fund; Alison Walter as well as eight grandchildren, Clark Bakstran, Brian Fund, Kirsten Bakstran, Eric Fund, Andrew Fund Brittany Seipp, Thomas Seipp and Megan Seipp, as well as her brother Raymond Hedger and sister Carolyn Hedger. Jane is predeceased by her husband Werner Walter, father Raymond Hedger and mother Ena Langley.
