Jean Reynolds

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Jean Reynolds on Monday, December 16, 2024, at the age of 95. Born and raised in Woodside, Queens, she met her beloved husband, the late Joseph, while on a trip to the Poconos. They married, had three children and moved to Locust Valley, Long Island. She is survived by her loving daughter Lori Fabiano (Vincent), and was predeceased by her daughter Karen and husband Hugh, and her son Gary.

Jean had a deep passion for gardening, and her green thumb brought beauty and joy to many. She also dedicated much of her time to volunteering with Meals on Wheels, where she touched the lives of countless individuals through her kindness and generosity.

One of Jean’s greatest joys was spending time in the Poconos with Joe, where they owned several properties, including a hotel which they managed in the early days of their marriage. She treasured the peaceful moments spent there, surrounded by nature and family. Jean was also a lover of the arts, enjoying many Broadway shows and concerts throughout her life.

Her legacy of love, compassion, and service will live on through her daughter Lori. She will be deeply missed but always remembered. Visitation will take place at Whitting Funeral Home, 300 Glen Cove Ave., Glen Head, NY 11545, on Thursday, Dec. 19, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM & from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM. A funeral mass will be held at St. Gertrude Catholic Church in Bayville, NY on Friday, Dec. 20, at 10:00 AM, followed by interment at Locust Valley Cemetery, NY.
