Linda Anne Parsons, dear wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away on February 14, 2025, at the age of 82.
Linda was predeceased by her loving husband of 47 years, Norman Parsons. Linda is survived by her three children, Pamela (Joseph) Weingart, Cate McGinley, and John Parsons. She was a much-loved grandmother to Elizabeth (Sean) Sciubba, Kevin Costello, Lily McGinley, Patrick Weingart, Grace McGinley, Delilah Weingart, Bear Parsons, and Noah Parsons. Linda was a proud great-grandmother to Theodore Sciubba. She is survived by her loving siblings, Doris (Rev. George) Kimball, David Kiley, and Richard (Marje) Kiley.
Linda was born in Brooklyn and graduated from Tufts University with a Bachelor's degree in English. She eventually came to rest in Sea Cliff, where she spent the remainder of her life, strongly devoted to family and community. Linda's devotion to service was evidenced in her ongoing volunteer work, including service as an EMT for Sea Cliff EMS after retiring from the North Shore School District. She became an EMT at the age of 60, proving her long-term commitment to service. Linda was also a very active member of St. Luke's Episcopal Church, where she spent a great deal of time and energy on her faith and community.
A fervent golfer, tennis player, knitter, painter, and sculptor, Linda's creative side was always apparent in her hobbies. Her commitment to the Village of Sea Cliff and its communities resulted in being recognized as a White Cap recipient for her continued volunteerism and efforts.
A memorial funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 22 at 1 p.m. at St. Luke's Episcopal Church in Sea Cliff, where Linda's legacy of service, kindness, and love of community will be celebrated.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society in memory of Linda.
Linda's dedication to her faith throughout her family, the community, and her church will remain inspirational to all who knew her. She will be missed, but what she left behind and left within people will live on forever in the lives she touched.
