Margaret Anne Barrington

Barrington, Margaret A. (nee Schwalbach) of Hyde Park, NY, on September 28, 2018. Beloved wife of the late Joseph for 67 years. Loving mother of Jeff (Randa) of Glen Head and Wendy (David) of Hyde Park. Cherished grandmother of Jill and Steven and great grandmother of Adelaide, Corey and Holly.
Margaret was born in Brooklyn, NY, on August 28, 1923 to the late Frank and Elizabeth Schwalbach and is survived by her brother Eugene Schwalbach. She was predeceased by her sisters Dorothy Schwalbach and Florence Dennis and her brothers Frank and Louis Schwalbach.
Margaret retired as Payroll Supervisor at DuPont Pharmaceuticals. She was a New York Yankees fan since the days of Babe Ruth, but she always said her favorite Yankee was Lou Gehrig.
Visiting Tuesday 2-4 and 7-9 pm at Whitting Funeral Home, 300 Glen Cove Ave., Glen Head, NY 11545. Funeral Mass Wednesday at 10 am at St. Boniface Martyr Church in Sea Cliff. Internment at Calverton National Cemetery, Calverton, NY. In lieu of flowers, you may make a donation in her memory to Memorial Sloan Kettering-Cancer Center, 1275 York Ave., New York, NY 10065.
