Marie Bruno

Marie T. Bruno (nee Petrucci) of Glen Head, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great- grandmother, peacefully passed away on Saturday, October 26, 2024, at the age of 89. Born on February 13, 1935, in Glen Cove to Carmine and Rose (Flammio) Petrucci, Marie led a life filled with love and devotion to her family. She married Carl R. Bruno of Glen Cove on February 12, 1956, and together they raised a daughter, Karen and a son, Thomas.

Marie was a woman of deep faith and a devoted member of the Church of St. Rocco, where she volunteered for many years, particularly during the St. Rocco's Feast, and was active in the Columbiettes. She also dedicated her time to the Glen Cove Hospital Ladies Auxiliary in the Admitting Office. An avid participant in her community, Marie was a member of the Ladies 9 Holers at Brookville Country Club, enjoyed a bowling league, and pursued ceramics.

She is survived by her children, Karen Lang (John) and Thomas (Janice), along with her grandchildren, Kristyn Lang, Sara Dumas (Stephen), Alexandra Bruno, Thomas Bruno, Matthew Lang (Kathleen) and Michaela Bruno, as well as her great-grandchildren, Hudson Dumas and Adeline Lang.

Marie was predeceased by her cherished husband, Carl, her parents, Carmine and Rose Petrucci, her brother Costanzo (Gus) Petrucci, and her sister Rosella Rocco. Her spirit and kindness will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
