Marjorie Lynn Loughran

Marjorie Loughran, 60, of Glen Head, New York, passed away on May 13, 2020. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, May 20, 2020. Burial will follow at the Roslyn Cemetery in Greenvale. Due to current restrictions related to the COVID pandemic, there will be no visitation however a funeral procession will begin at Whitting Funeral Home beginning at 12:30pm and will travel to the cemetery. The family will schedule a memorial service at a later date. Marjorie was born in Glen Cove to Joan and Walter Loughran on December 29th, 1959. She attended North Shore High School and graduated in 1978. For more than three decades, she worked for the Plandome Country Club. She enjoyed vacationing in Aruba and treasured her time with family and friends. Her favorite pastime was enjoying time in the sun at Long Island Beaches. She had hoped to retire to North Carolina, and planned to build a home there. Marjorie is survived by her son , Steven Miserendino of Oyster Bay, her sister and brother-in-law Patricia and James Meilinger of Glen Head, and her aunt Patricia Smith of Sea Cliff. She is preceded in death by her husband, Steven Miserendino, her mother, Joan Seaman, and her father Walter Loughran. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the North Shore Animal League and Long Island Harvest.
