Maureen Frances Maddock

MAUREEN FRANCES MADDOCK –(nee Tansey) of Sea Cliff, NY. Died December 31, 2024, at 85, after a long battle with Alzheimer’s. She was born on June 29, 1939, to Frances and Charles Tansey in Brooklyn NY, and moved to Franklin Square in Nassau County when she was three.

Loving wife to Daniel for 61 years. She is survived by their six children: Laureen Collier (Thomas), Brenda Ann Costello (Richard), Janine Murray (James), Pegeen Channell, Jennifer Medina (Martin) and Daniel Charles Maddock (Monica). And seven perfect grandchildren: Kaitlin, Lucy, Micaela, John, Jack, Marguerite and Hayden. She was the middle child with four brothers: Charles (Junior), James, Robert and Bob Duffy, all deceased.

After raising their six children, Maureen served as an Administrative Assistant at the Green Vale School in Old Brookville for 20 + years. After moving to Sea Cliff, Maureen was active as a Girl Scout Leader, Treasurer of Mutual Concerns, a member of the Sea Cliff Senior Action Committee, and the Good of the Village Association. She volunteered at North Shore Schools managing fashion shows and proms at the High School. She was very also very active in St. Boniface Church as a Eucharistic Minister, giving out communion at Glen Cove Hospital, local Nursing Homes and to homebound seniors. Other passions included tennis, golf, bridge, canister and babysitting grandchildren.
