Michael J. Bradford

Michael J. Bradford, MD passed away on August 2, 2023 at the age of 83.

Beloved husband of Emy Bradford for over 61 years. Devoted father of Sharon Bradford Franklin and Jonathan Franklin of Bethesda, Maryland and Daniel and Jill Bradford of Sudbury, Massachusetts. Proud grandfather of Stephanie Franklin, Noah Franklin, Adam Bradford and Jessica Bradford. Loving brother of Kenneth Bradford and the late Jane Bradford.

Graduate of Yale College (Summa Cum Laude, 1960) and Harvard Medical School (1964). Served as Captain in the U.S. Air Force (1968-1970). Highly respected and dedicated physician to many in Manhasset and Great Neck NY for over 40 years. Specialized in gastroenterology and internal medicine and served on staff at St. Francis Hospital and North Shore University Hospital.

Funeral service will be held at 2 pm on Friday August 4, 2023 at Whitting Funeral Home, 300 Glen Cove Avenue, Glen Head, NY.

Shivah at the home of Emy Bradford in Port Washington following the funeral service and on Sunday, August 6 from 12:00 to 4:00 pm.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Parkinson’s Foundation or Long Island Alzheimer’s and Dementia Center.
