Michael T. Lucarelli, beloved father, grandfather, brother and friend, passed away peacefully on January 13, 2025, at the age of 98 in the comfort of his home, surrounded by his family members.
Michael proudly served his country in the United States Navy during World War II, a time that shaped his character and instilled in him the values of courage, dedication and strength. His service to his nation was a source of great pride throughout his life.
He was predeceased by his devoted wife, Norma, with whom he shared a lifetime of love, laughter, and cherished memories. Together, they built a family rooted in faith, kindness, and devotion. Michael is survived by his two sisters, Beatrice and Rosemary, four children, Thomas, Paula, Carolyn and Vincent, seven grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren, who will forever carry forward his legacy of love, generosity and responsibility. His unwavering dedication to his family was a cornerstone of his life, and his children were his greatest pride.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, January 17, 2025, at 10:00 AM at St. Mary’s Church, Roslyn, NY where Michael was a devoted parishioner, having attended mass every day. Entombment will follow the mass at Pinelawn Memorial Park, where he will be laid to rest beside his beloved wife, Norma.
Michael’s generosity, kindness, wisdom and love will be dearly missed but fondly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him. May he rest in eternal peace.
