Michael Schaffield

Schaffield, Michael Thomas of Lattingtown, NY on June 10, 2012. He was recognized as a distinguished member of the legal profession and business community in New York City and Long Island, commencing his career in New York after graduation from the University of Kentucky and Yale Law School. Most recently Director of Business Development for the Nassau County Office of Economic Development, he had served as Sr. Vice President - Legal advisor with Computer Associates International and as Vice President - Legal for Freeport Minerals Company. A resident of Lattingtown since 1996, Michael as served on the Zoning Board for the last twelve years. Michael served on the Board of LICAD and was a former chairman. As a NYC resident, Michael served as President of the Board of Trustees for the Park Avenue United Methodist Church. Michael is the Beloved husband of Claudia "Dee Downing" Schaffield; son of Edna Harrison and Edward Albert Schaffield; father of Brian Allen and the late Sharon Alaine Schaffield; grandfather of Daniel & Sofia Schaffield and brother of the late Carol Schaffield Cochrane.
