Graef – Mirdza ‘Mitzie’ of Locust Valley, NY passed on January 29, 2022, at the age of 80. Beloved wife of the late John. Loving mother of Peter (fiancé Angela), and Victoria Moses (Michael). Proud grandmother of Eva and future son-in-law Juliana. Mitzie immigrated from Latvia with her mother and father after WWII, and ultimately settled in Long Island with her husband John. Along with her daughter Victoria, she was co-founder, head appraiser and proprietor of The Finer Things…of Locust Valley for 31 years. Mitzie had a keen eye for art and antiquities, and was herself an artist; with her husband, John, she travelled the world. You will always be in our thoughts, hearts, and prayers. Visitation Wednesday, Feb. 2, 2-4pm and 6-8pm at Whitting Funeral Home, 300 Glen Cove Ave, Glen Head, NY 11545. Service Thursday, Feb. 3, 10-11am at Whitting Funeral Home.
