Richard J. Brennan, of East Norwich (grew up in Glen Head) passed away on March 31, 2021. Loving and devoted father of Michael Brennan, Matthew Brennan, and Danielle Brennan Polgar. Cherished grandfather of Carson Elizabeth, Cassidy, Farren, Soleil, and Cahlil. Brother to Ed, John, Pat (late), Mary Ann, Billy, and Peggy. Uncle (Wonderful) to countless nieces and nephews, and partner to Maureen O'Toole. A graduate of St. Mary's High School in Manhasset, and Fordham University's Rose Hill Campus, Richard was a U.S. Army Veteran (Captain), writer, and editor. In his later years, he turned his sights to being a movie/tv extra. He appeared on screen in films such as "Enchanted", "Analyze That", "Maid In Manhattan", and "The Manchurian Candidate". Some TV credits included Madam Secretary (seasons 1-2), Law & Order (Season 14, "Nowhere Man"), and several seasons of Law & Order SVU. Those who knew Richard (many knew him simply as "Captain Dickie") were aware of his enormous and empathetic heart, his high-brow sense of humor and dry wit, and his penchant for pranks and cringe humor. He was a massive Monty Python fan, and a big fan of almost all British TV crime dramas. Please see below for viewings, mass, and burial information.
