Richard A. Zebrowski of Manchester, New Jersey and formerly of Glen Head, New York died suddenly on June 1. He was 79.
Born in Greenpoint, Brooklyn, Mr. Zebrowski lived most of his life on Long Island. He retired as general contractor from Charles Zebrowski & Son in Locust Valley, New York. He worked in that business for over 40 years and and took pleasure in the craftsmanship of his work. He and his father worked on many of the grand estates on Long Island's Gold Coast. He also served in the US Army.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Maureen (Waxon) Zebrowski, his daughter Kathleen Zebrowski and her husband Michael McGraw of Morristown, New Jersey and his son Richard C. Zebrowski and his wife Carrie Mills Zebrowski of Lincoln University, Pennsylvania. His sister Suzanne Switala of Corte Madera, California also survives him, along with four grandchildren, Carly (Nate) Cole of Hoboken, New Jersey, Jessica Zebrowski and Michael Zebrowski of Lincoln University, Pennsylvania, and Brianna McGraw of Morristown, New Jersey.
