Robert "Bob" Edward Boisits, Sr.

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Robert Boisits "Bob", a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend, who left us on September 19, 2024.

Bob was a family man, adventurist and always embracing the joy of life with a hearty laugh and a big smile.

Bob was a former Air Force Veteran, had a passion for boating and loved water-skiing in his hey days. His adventurous spirit extended beyond the waves, he enjoyed skiing with his family and friends in the great slopes of upstate New York, Vermont, and Maine, where countless cherished memories were made.

An avid sports fan, Bob was a devoted follower of the New York Giants, relishing every game day with great enthusiasm! He found great joy in playing tennis, team bowling league, golf and cheering on the horses at the Saratoga Springs racetrack.

A former member of the Elks Club League, Tennis League, a longtime member of the Mill River Rod and Gun Club, Bob treasured his time with friends, enjoying the camaraderie that came with each gathering. His passion for community was evident during Christmas services at the Reformed Church of Locust Valley, where he sang loudly filling the church with his spirit weather you liked it – or not 😊…

Bob is predeceased by his beloved wife Carole and brother Bruce. Loving father of Bonnie, Bridget, Bobby, Carolyn, Christopher, Carl Knight and the late Karen Knight. Dear grandfather of Gabriella and Daniel Graziose, Justine Doerbecker (Albert), Brett Boisits, Patrick Poczatek, Carley and Robert Poczatek and Chase Gudelauski. Cherished great-grandfather of AJ, Kennedy, and Sailor Anne. His family will carry this legacy of love, adventure, and laughter in their hearts…

He will be deeply missed but never forgotten, as his spirit lives on in the memories we hold dear.
