Robert M. Hubbard, age 75 of Glen Cove (formerly of Roslyn Heights) passed away on October 7, 2021.
Robert was Ex-Chief and a 26-year member of the Roslyn Rescue Fire Company and 30-year member of the Roslyn Highlands Fire Company. He had a love for fire department racing and competed with the Roslyn Rescue Steamers in the 60's, early 70's and the latter part of the 1980's and with the Roslyn Highlanders from 1991 to 2001. He also served in the US Army during the Vietnam War and earned numerous medals/accolades.
He is survived by his partner Adele Trojanek, children Robert J. Hubbard (Reina) and Jodi Wilgosz (Matthew) and grandchildren Alyssa and RJ. He is also survived by Adele's children, David (Eliza) and Tammy Trojanek, grandson Mikey Williams and his beloved cat buddy Sylvester.
