Sally Ann Clancy

Sally Ann Clancy, 71 years old of Sea Cliff, New York, passed away on Thursday, April 20, 2023, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on March 8, 1952, in Fort Monmouth, New Jersey. She is the daughter of Joan and the late Edward “Whitey” Ford.

To know Sally, was to love her. Sally’s unwavering dedication to her family and her fierce protection of them could only be matched by her enthusiasm as their biggest fan and supporter on the lacrosse field. Sally was a diehard Yankees, Villanova and Boston College fan. She loved music, especially the Beatles and Rod Stewart. She was a devoted and proud wife, mother, and grandmother, whose generosity and time knew no bounds. With her infectious laughter and ability to leave a lasting impression on everyone she met, Sally was truly one of a kind.

Sally is predeceased by her loving husband of 46 years, Stephen Clancy, her father Whitey Ford, and her brother Tommy Ford. She is survived by her mother, Joan Ford of Lake Success, New York, her brother, Eddie Ford and his wife, also of Lake Success, New York. Two daughters, two sons and seven grandchildren; daughter, Brett Clancy and her husband Mark Nagle of Chadds Ford, Pennsylvania and their children Blair, Charlie and Julia; son, Evan Clancy and his wife Joanna of Glen Head, New York and their children James and Conor; son, Craig Clancy and his wife Cate of Manhattan and their children Chloe and Cole; and daughter, Blair Clancy of Manhattan.

Mass of Catholic burial will be held at 10:00am on Tuesday, April 25, 2023, at St. Boniface Martyr Church, 145 Glen Ave., Sea Cliff, NY 11579. Visitation will be held between 4:00pm and 8:00pm on Monday, April 24th, at Whitting Funeral Home, 300 Glen Ave., Glen Head, NY 11545.
