Susan Rodriguez

Susan Purshall Rodriguez, 76 years old, passed away on March 6, 2022. Susan was born in Glen Cove NY on July 31, 1945, to Robert and Mae Purshall. She grew up with her Sister, Barbara Purshall Murphy and her Brother David in Glenwood landing. She went to South Hampton College and received her bachelor’s in nursing and worked as a registered nurse at Glen Cove Hospital on the pediatrics floor and then for Family Medicine Associates. Susan met the love of her life, Joseph Rodriguez in 1967 and married that same year. Together Susan and Joseph raised 2 children in Bayville New York, Thomas Rodriguez (his wife Carleen) and Lisa Rodriguez Lautato (her husband Robert) and had four grandchildren Matthew, Evan, Sean and Samantha Lautato. Susan was loved by so many and returned that love tenfold. She had the greatest sense of humor and made everyone laugh and smile. Sue was a loving, caring wife, sister, mom, grandma, and friend who was always there when you needed her and so so much fun to be around. Although you loved her, she always loved you more, and she told you so. We are all so devastated and she will be missed.
