It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Thomas John Weppler on December 29, 2024, at the age of 77. Tom was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend whose presence will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Tom is survived by his devoted wife, Linda, with whom he shared 50 years of love and cherished memories. He was the proud father of two daughters, Darienne (Charles) Kennedy and Jaclyn (David) Birnbaum, and an adoring "Grandpa & Papa" to his grandchildren: Hailey Lynn Birnbaum, Hunter Grey Birnbaum, Harlie Dylan Birnbaum, and Rian John Kennedy. Tom also leaves behind his dear brother, James Michael Weppler, as well as many nieces, nephews, and extended family members. He was preceded in death by his beloved brother, Robert Frederick Weppler, and his sister, Judith Ann Weppler-Bernado.
Tom was a man of many passions. An avid golfer, he spent many days enjoying his favorite game with friends and family. He also cherished traveling with his wife, Linda, whether it was skiing with the family or embarking on a tropical cruise. Tom found joy in exploring new destinations and making lasting memories with those he loved most.
A proud veteran of the United States Air Force, Tom served his country for five years, a period of his life that he carried with him throughout his days. Following his service, he devoted his career to the Steamfitters Local 638, where he worked tirelessly until his retirement.
Above all, Tom was a family man at heart. His greatest joy came from spending time with those closest to him. His love and devotion to his family will live on in the hearts of his wife, daughters, grandchildren, and all who were fortunate enough to know him.
Tom's warm smile, generous spirit, and unwavering commitment to his loved ones will never be forgotten. He will be dearly missed but forever remembered in the hearts of all who knew him.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Jude's Childrens Hospital.
May he rest in peace.
