Thomas T. Kontogiannis

Thomas T. Kontogiannis, of Old Brookville NY, passed away on Sunday, October 22, 2023, at the age of 74. Beloved husband of Georgia, loving father of Evangelia (Adam) DiPinto, Annette, Chloe (Richard) Henning. Cherished grandfather of Georgiana, Thomas, Lukas, Nikolas, William, Elizabeth, Alexandra, Ethan, and Anna.

Born in Greece, Thomas was a graduate of the polytechnical school of Athens and a veteran of the Greek navy. Immigrating to the United States in 1972, Thomas began what would be a lifelong career as a builder and developer. Thomas met his wife Georgia in March 1973 when she was working in her father’s coffee shop. They married in September of 1973 celebrating 50 years of marriage this past September. Together Thomas and Georgia built a beautiful life with their three daughters, Lisa (Evangelia), Annette and Chloe.

Thomas was always quick with a joke and enjoyed making those around him laugh. He loved spending time with his family and found great joy when he was surrounded by his children and grandchildren. Sundays spent watching football, playing cards, and talking about any subject around the table were always special to him.

Thomas will be greatly missed by his family and those who knew and loved him.

Visitation on Tuesday, October 24, from 4pm to 8pm at the Greek Orthodox Church of the Holy Resurrection, 1400 Cedar Swamp Rd., Brookville, NY 11545.

Service on Wednesday, October 25, at 10am at the Greek Orthodox Church of the Holy Resurrection, Brookville, NY.

Burial to follow at Locust Valley Cemetery.
