With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Tomasz Chabowski, who died on April 5, 2025, at the age of 70. Born on January 3, 1955, in Kraków, Poland, to Tadeusz and Ewa Chabowski, Tomek lived a full and generous life devoted to his family, his faith, and the community he served with love and humility.
Tomek is survived by his beloved wife, Joanna Chabowski, and five children: Ania (Mariusz) Sztanga, Dominika (Bartek) Rajpold, Leszek (Emmy) Chabowski, Maria (Fabian) Chabowska and Tadeusz (Kelly) Chabowski. He was a proud and devoted grandfather to Victoria, Dominic, Julian, Kacper, Alex, Jasiu, and Jackson. He also leaves behind his cherished sister Magdalena Chabowska-Biazik, niece Agata Biazik, and mother-in-law Lidka Zyla.
Tomek had a natural gift for making others feel at ease. Known for his sharp wit and playful sense of humor, he was truly a social butterfly, able to light up any room with his presence. Beneath the jokes and laughter was a man of deep principle and compassion—a natural peacekeeper and the glue that held his family together.
In his youth, Tomek was a talented athlete and a competitive kayaker, later developing a love for sports. His lifelong passion for music was evident to all who knew him. A gifted singer and pianist, he found joy and comfort in classical music and opera, often sharing that joy with others.
Professionally, Tomek was deeply committed to his work in occupational safety training. He was passionate about offering opportunities and support through his vocational teaching, dedicating his time to helping others develop the skills needed to build a better future. His empathy and faith in others were unwavering, even when others had given up.
A devout Catholic, Tomek was an active and faithful member of St. Hyacinth Roman Catholic Church. His faith guided every part of his life, and he drew great strength and purpose from it.
Above all, Tomek loved his family. He was a constant source of wisdom, humor, and love—a husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend who leaves behind a legacy of kindness and compassion that will not be forgotten.
