Virginia Hines

Virginia (Ginny) D. Hines, born October 18, 1938, passed away on June 5, 2024. Born to Charles Dewolf and Alice Johnstone in Bronx, NY, Ginny grew up in Lynbrook, NY where she was a graduate of Lynbrook Senior High School. Ginny attended Elmira College.

Ginny and her late husband of 64 years, Lee D. Hines, raised their family in Port Washington, NY, where they were active in local and church activities and Ginny operated an aerobics business for many years. After Lee's retirement in 1988, Ginny and Lee spent much of their time in southern Vermont maintaining their farm, volunteering at a local hospital, hosting family and friends, and making countless unforgettable memories - some yet to be divulged - with their grandchildren.

Ginny is survived by her daughter Nancy Weiss of Sea Cliff, NY, sons David Hines (Lois) of Wilbraham, MA and Peter Hines (Ashley) of Salt Lake City, Utah, and seven grandchildren: George Weiss, Slater Weiss, Madeleine Hines, Leah Hines, Rebecca Hines, Henri Hines, and Drexell Hines.

A private funeral service has been arranged for immediate family members. A memorial service for Ginny and Lee Hines will be held at a future date.
